PADI® Deep Diver (deep diving)
Some wrecks, slopes and objects in Switzerland and nearby countries are below 30m. Our Deep Diver course offers you the opportunity to increase your depth by another 10m to a full 40m, giving you even more opportunities to explore the underwater world. Not just in Switzerland, of course, but all over the world.

The call of the deep. There is something exciting and mysterious about exploring deeper dive sites. Sometimes a wreck below 18 meters / 60 feet beckons, or on a steep wall it could be a huge sea fan or a sponge. Whatever fascinates you down there: To dive with confidence at depths of up to 40 meters / 130 feet, you should take the PADI Deep Diver Specialty course. If you are a PADI Adventure Diver or have a higher certification and are at least 15 years old, you can participate in a PADI Deep Diver Specialty course.

Your training begins with a discussion of the reasons for deeper diving and the importance of knowing your personal limits. In four deep dives with your instructor you will learn:
- Something about special equipment for deep diving.
- Planning deep dives, procedures for staying with your buddy and buoyancy control on deeper dives.
- Managing your breathing gas supply, dealing with gas anesthesia and safety precautions.
In addition, the first dive of this PADI Specialty course can be credited as an Adventure Dive towards your Advanced Open Water Diver certification - ask your PADI Instructor about credit options.
