Most divers find this course both challenging and rewarding and, looking back, say it is the best course they have ever been on. Why is that? You learn more about problem recognition and avoidance, you gain more confidence in your abilities as a diver and you realize that you can help other divers if needed. During the course you will learn to become a better dive buddy, practicing problem solving skills until they become second nature. The course is also a lot of fun - the background is serious, but there are always opportunities to laugh even when you are concentrating on learning. PADI (Junior) Advanced Open Water Divers aged 12 and over who have completed the Underwater Navigation Adventure Diver course can enrol on a Rescue Diver course. You must also have completed training in Emergency First Response Primary Care and Secondary Care within the last 24 months. This training can take place during your Rescue Diver course. Your instructor may also offer you the opportunity to take the PADI Emergency Oxygen Provider specialty course at the same time, where you will learn how to administer emergency oxygen.
